Triple bottom line (TBL) | Definition | What is Triple bottom line (TBL)?

Triple bottom line is an accounting framework in corporate governance with three parts: social, economic and environment. TBL expands the traditional accounting and reporting framework to take into account social equity and environmental performance along with the financial performance of the organization. TBL accounting ensures sustainability of the business and increasingly becoming synonymous with good corporate governance practice.
