Ethical management is responsible management practices which integrate sustainability, profit and inclusiveness. In civil services ethical management translates into reflection of public centric values like objectivity, impartiality, compassion, integrity etc. in administration and management of public resources.

Management of ethics means setting in place control mechanisms which can guide the behaviour and conduct of members of an organization towards an ethically upright and acceptable norms. In civil services this is ensured through merit-based selection system, training, code of conduct and reward-punishment measures.
