Environmental ethics is the discipline in philosophy that studies the moral relationship of human being with environment and its non-human contents. It expands the traditional boundary of ethics from only including humans to including non-human world. It seeks to ethically evaluate and pass moral judgement on questions like-

  • Should human continue to cut down forest for human consumption?
  • Should humans knowingly cause extinction of other specie for its own convenience?
