Apathy | Definition | What is Apathy?

Apathy is complete absence of feeling for the suffering of other. There is indifference and lack of concern for others pain. Apathy may even degenerate into feeling of lack of sense of purpose, worth or meaning of one’s life.

Apathy is different from reduced affect display, which refers to reduced expression of emotion whereas in apathy the emotion is altogether absent.
