Spirit of service | Definition | What is Spirit of service?

It refers to commitment to the public service without any desire of praise or reward. It follows the locus of Kantian ethics which prescribes that duty should be performed for duty’s sake. In Indian philosophy this is reflected in doctrine of “nishkam karma” ie. self-less fulfilment of duty.
